Colors on one of the first things you learn in your native language. They’re an integral part of the way modern humans interpret the world (though not everyone sees colors the same way). It makes sense, then, that they’re one of the first things you should learn when you’re tackling a new language. And lucky for you, we’ve created a number of guides to help you learn how to name the colors in other languages.

Below, we have guides to the colors for all 13 languages that Babbel offers. They includes all of the basic colors, though many languages have many more names to distinguish the many shades and variations (think chartreuse, magenta, teal and the many others English has). If you scroll even further down, you can also take quizzes to see how well you know the colors.

Name And Pronounce Colors In Other Languages

Each of the guides below includes the vocabulary for all the colors of the rainbow (and a few of the colors not on the rainbow). It also includes audio so you can hear how each word is pronounced by a native speaker. You’ll have these colors down in no time!
